Design Career Services offers many programs and services to assist students with Career Development.
Individual Appointments 
Schedule appointments with the career services coordinator to discuss diverse careers in design and art disciplines, job and internship searches, resume and portfolio development, graduate school application or to talk about any other career-related issues.

Beyond BackPacks 
Beyond BackPacks is a series of career-related seminars and events designed to prepare students for finding career related internships and professional employment following graduation. View a current schedule of Beyond BackPacks seminars or check the College of Design Calendar.
 
Job and Internship Search Seminar
DSN S 397X is a one credit course offered Fall semester to prepare students for a job or internship search. Fall is the ideal time to begin this preparation!
 
Searching for Internships and Full-time Employment
College of Design students can access ISU CMS, (Iowa State University Career Management Service) on-line to search for current internships and full-time professional positions. This service offers students many advantages when searching for employment. Instructions for using ISU CMS are included under the "Jobs/Internships" link.
 
Networking with Alumni
ISU Student Alumni Association members can access the ISU Alumni Association's online community, CySpace, an incredible way to network with other Iowa Staters. Membership, only $20, offers an amazing list of additional benefits.
