The GDRC is an exploratory group to develop and promote comprehensive sustainable design strategies for our environment.

- To cultivate resources and seek financial support for the development of research projects about green design and sustainability.

- To reinforce the current organizational structures for addressing sustainability within the College of Design.

- To establish strong connections with campus-wide sustainability efforts and create interdepartmental research teams with faculty from the College of Design and related fields across campus.

- To investigate potential collaboration, exchanges and partnerships with local and national organizations.

- To encourage sustainable practices on campus and in the community.
