The graduate program offers professional and research-oriented degrees in architecture.
The MArch I (master of architecture, an accredited professional degree) and the MArch II (a post-professional research degree) emphasize the relationship between professional education and research. The MSAS (master of science in architectural studies, a non-professional research degree) is for students with non-professional degrees who want to pursue graduate-level research on the built environment. Double-degree programs are currently offered with the Department of Community and Regional Planning (M Arch I/ M C R P) and the College of Business (M Arch I / M B A).
All the programs encourage interdisciplinary work within the College of
Design and across related fields within the university.
